Mass Effect 2

The first spoiler 2 posts above ^ is the reason why i hate RPG's sometimes, it doesn't make sense - they've seen ....... first hand, why would they not accept what Shep AND themselves have experienced....

*sigh, MASSIVE plot holes already ffs. Who the **** wrote that shit into the game, and why is he still employed? How do you miss such a hugh mistake in the story?

Before I get the game, can someone tell me few things.

First of all, will I be able to export my character from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2? I mean, I kinda bonded with my character and the way he looks, no homo.

And also, how exactly does this game play out after Mass Effect 1? I mean, there were so many things that could have been different... For example, me appointing Captain Anderson as the leader of the council.

That's not plot holes, just politics. Don't believe something that is out there unless there is no other possibility.

Spoiler:
The fact that they believe that Soverign was a Geth ship makes sence, they are politicians.

When you start a new game it will give you the choice of either starting a generic Male or Female shepard, or importing your Mass Effect save. When you import your save it will show you a screen that shows the major choices you made in Mass Effect.

For Example, I am looking at the Import screen for my Renegade Shepard and it says:

Name: John Shepard
Rank: 50
Military Specialization: Sentinel
Psychological Profile: Renegade. Commander Shepard followed the Renegade path.
Status of Wrex: Wrex was terminated by Commander Shepard during the mission on Virmire.
Missing in Action: Ashley Williams was killed on Virmire
Council History: The council was lost during the attack on the Citadel

And the one I am actually playing, which was my first Paragon save

Name: John Shepard
Rank: 35
Military Specilization: Vanguard
Psychological Profile: Paragon.
Status of Wrex: Wrex survived
MIA: Kaiden
Council: Alive

(yea, I got tired of typing at the end there)

Oh nice, can you edit the military specialization of your character?

I really like my character at the moment, except that I'm kind of bored at the infiltrator specialization and I would wanna try and use the rifle, as I have never used it in the first Mass Effect.

You can change class at the start of the game, err once the opening scene finishes.

Omg, remember conrad verner from the first game? Hes back in ME2 and this may be a bug.

I was nice to him in the first game and now hes being a jackass in the second game claiming i shoved a gun in his face.

I love this game.

High five!! Btw did you import your shep?

😱 Best game i have ever played 😱

Can someone who is a fair way through the game please compile a list of the choices that carry over? Splash a sppiler tag over it if you do, much appreciated.

No >< For some reason the data became corrupt a year ago and had to delete it. WHich kind of sucks because I wonder how different the scenes may be with the data. If only there was a way to get someone's data online

Dying to play this, but I'm committed to playing through the first game again as it's been a couple years since I last played it, and I'm a bit rusty with the lore and characters. So I just started playing through the first again last night.

A lot of things honestly, some of the side quests you did in ME1, who you killed in ME1, how you treated conrad verner(though this one was bugged for me), who you chose to to become leader at the end(udina or anderson).

A lot more than you expect.

i dislike Miranda's manly face.

The actor is very cute actually, but in the game she looks hideous.

Downloading the game as we speak... Man I can't wait to get playing.

I'm not sure which military class to pick, though. The special ability powers look extra amazing in Mass Effect 2, but while playing Mass Effect 1 I kind of envisioned my character to be that bad ass ace who puts everything down with his skills with guns.

I continued on as a Vanguard, and am loving every second of it. The biotic charge is such an awesome skill to use in battle.

I have to say I'm enjoying this hugely so far.

But I think most of the love is due to keeping my original Shepard, who I fell in love with a bit. I found a perfect mixture of Paragon and Renegade, with some dislike for being told what to do, that allowed her to finish Paragon while still being dark enough to do bad things when necessary. Though embarrassingly I forgot names and told Miranda Udina was on the Council, instead of Anderson...

Given that the default "iconic" Shepard is a jerk who allowed the Council to die for the sake of humans... I wonder how different a game I'm playing from the "standard" story.

Which works. There aren't many games where I feel this much like I'm actually playing a character whose thoughts, reasons, and actions I personally decide and control completely.

Though i am extremely pissed off that i can't remove the helmets of blood dragon and collectors armor because i want to see my femsheps emotions during cutscenes.

In the captain's quarters on the Normandy you can personalize your armor, and choose full helmet, helmet with transparent visor, or no helmet at all.

I don't have the DLC, but maybe that's how to do it?

Spoiler:
So far, I have come across the main choices (whether Kaiden or Ashley survives, Whether Wrex survives, whether you save the council or let them die, etc.) and have come across several other ones...

If you save the Rachni Queen, you meet someone who had run-in to them, and is now helping them re-build their society.

I ran into Gianna Paracini (the woman at noveria who is investigating the Annoleas) and helped her with another investigation.

I have a picture of Ashley Williams on Shepard's desk, and when talking to her and about her, part of the conversations are about our relationship in the first Mass Effect.

I haven't run into him myself, but apparently Conrad Verner shows up again.

I ran into the reporter who ambushed you in the first Mass Effect, did another interview with her again (and shut her up pretty damn quickly too...)

And I've had several E-mails from people who I helped in the first game that are mostly (OMFG! You're alive. Remember me? You helped me with [insert random incedent here]!)

One of the E-mails I got was from the Asari Consort, another affirmation of who I am and who I could become... but no random trinket this time...

No, you can't remove the helmets, or personalize the DLC armors in any way shape or form.

Ah, shame. I probably wouldn't enjoy them, then; I like watch Shepard act.
