Mass Effect 2

Started by Nemesis X49 pages

If my Shepard does get killed, I wonder who the heck I would play as in Mass Effect 3. Speaking of that, Mass Effect 3 was mentioned in one of the loading screens.

You wouldn't be able to import shepherd if he/she dies according to casey hudson.

I watched the bad ending on youtube where EVERYONE dies, omg it is depressing.

You play shepard just can't import and have to make a new character.

I finished with my femShep.

Wow. The consummate scene with Garrus was surprisingly touching. It all comes down to the two caring for each other deeply, rather than anything erotic.

I lost Mordin in the suicide mission, though, for apparently no reason. Right in the finale cutscene, with no explanation as to why. Now I have to beat it again...

I need to find someplace selling ME1, because I never finished a male Shepard in it, and I hate the default Shepard choices. My game is apparently very different from BioWare's game...

You and i are alike seriously.

I just finished replaying ME1 with a maleshep.

As for your mordins death did you do everyones loyalty quest? Who you pick for leader, for pipe or biotic barriers are very important as choosing the wrong person may cause someone else to die.

Yeah, I did all the loyalty quests, built upgrades, the whole shebang. It's really very annoying.

This was my choices for the suicide mission:

Spoiler:
Vents: Tali
Squad 2 leader: Miranda
Escort: Jacob
Squad 2 leader 2: Miranda
Barrier: Samara
Human Reaper team: Legion and Grunt

From what I hear, Mordin just has a riciulously high chance of death coded in. Apparently keeping him on your final team or having him escort are his best chances.

For those who want help with the endgame choices:

Spoiler:
Vents: Tali or Legion. Any other choice will die.
Squad 2 Leader: Miranda, Garrus, or Jacob. Bad choices will cause one of the three to be picked (possibly at random) to die both times.
Escort: It looks like just about anyone can be sent on escort and survive, possibly with a small random chance of failure affected by upgraded items and loyalty.
Barrier: Samara or Jack. Miranda claims she can do it too, and any biotic should technically be able to, but I don't know if Miranda can survive, and the others will die.
Final team: The two you pick should live, possibly with a small random chance of death affected by upgrades and loyalty.

Well mordin was with me towards the final battle with the final boss so he lived.

And check out the horrible ending on youtube where everyone dies, it is so depressing even though that was not my shepard.

Wouldn't the

Spoiler:
Barrier
work for
Spoiler:
Morinth[/spoiler as well? I know since you have [spoiler]Samara
you can't answer that from personal experience but do you think it should work?

I'm sure, but I didn't have
Spoiler:
Morinth
. Paragon.

So I've rented ME1 to make some endgame saves just for bringing to ME2. Crazy?

Not at all. I plan on buying ME just for that and to keep it this time. This is gonna be one kickass trilogy.

I'm trying to get the first game too.

I was so worried Tali was going to die. Hell I was worried about everyone not dying. Even the NPCs. I found myself missing their little convos in the Normandy after I beat the suicide mission.

Props to Bioware for delivering this epic experience.

Wait your crew died? Mine was alive.

This is probably a stupid question but I just have to ask: Did anyone hit on Garrus in ME1?

No offense, but that question is stupid. Garrus can't be hit on in ME1.

Great game. Superior in every way to the first. I'm surprised how Bioware fixed pretty much every problem present in the first. They really want to make good games.

I wouldn't say in every way. Medigel/Unity anyone? It was way superior in the first one.

I liked it better in 2. The first became too easy. The second ensured you were smart about what you were doing at all times.

Yea, I sent Mordin through the vents, because I thought he'd be a good choice there, but he got shot in the head. And I used Garrus as the Squad 2 leader both times, and he got shot, but survived to fight the Reaper Human Larve alongside Legion and myself.

I liked the way they did Unity in this game, though I only ran out of Medigel once and that was

Spoiler:
in the Collector's ship

The only REAL problem I had was when you used one special ability (say, Unity) all of your abilities had to cooldown, and that just got on my nerves when I was in a heated battle.

Unity would be fine in this one if it didn't take separate medigel to heal each person in your party whereas Unity and Medigel in the first one revived both partners and the gel healed the whole team, not one gel per person.

This game is so funny.

Spoiler:
Salarian Singing, headbutting Krogans, krogan poetry, the whole salarian bachelor party conversation in illium, Joker's arguments with Edi, Joker saying "take pictures!" when Miranda and Jack are fighting...shit the list goes on
