Members of the press were invinted to see the film:
http://www.newsarama.com/film/ap-081003-watchmen-screening.html
Reactions were positive.
Another point for Snyder.
It clearly says "Press Invited to See Some of Watchmen.".
Some, three scenes, a part, a snippet. Read the article before you post it.
Additionally, I can't see any "reactions", by the press, anyway. The comments on the article are foolish. "This looks like it'll be the greatest movie ever.", really? By the trailer alone? Also, I loved the uninformed nitwit who proposed that because Batman and Iron Man got great movies, Watchmen would. Gotta love people who don't know what they're on about.
Why is Snyder getting points because some members of the press allegedly praised the snippets of the film that they saw? Might as well give the man points because the movie had a "good" trailer.
Another point toward my point that some people are factually gonna rave about this movie, simply because they've already decided to. What's worse is that they do it because people do the opposite, it's really quite childish, and even more baseless. At least people who assume this movie will be shit have more to go by.
As someone correctly said in the comments:
"The thing that annoys me about the descriptions of the se scenes is that everyone is loving them, but they were only action scenes along with a credits montage and a solo scene of Manhattan's voice-over.
There has still been no footage shown of actual dramatic dialogue between two or more characters for anyone to truly be able to tell whether Snyder had done a good job at getting exceptional ACTING performances out of his actors or whether this film is going to be cringe-worthy within its entirety.
There's a lot more to performing a successful adaptation of a book or comic book than just faithfully xeroxing the material and adding cool visual cues to it. There has been no proof that he has managed to capture the SPIRIT of the source material through the actual performances and scenography.".

Onto more important things...
Another article on the previews of the film.

Once again Snyder implies he isn't trying to replace the novel which he clearly pushes everyone to read. With that thought Gibbons agree and no sequel.
Nobody had issues with that point.
The fact that he's trying to mirror the novel is the problem that most fans have.
Props to the man for allegedly standing strong against ideas to change it a lot, but he still shouldn't be making it. If he is a man of his word, he should follow through. He said he respects Moore's wishes, that's why he removed his name, but he wouldn't respect his wishes that the movie doesn't get made. Weird, that.
And obviously no sequel.
A video game is just diabolical, though. This isn't the kind of movie that needs a game and merchandise, way to cheapen the concept, Snyder.
Oh how I predicted that there'd be many speed up, slow down scenes. It's a shame they chose they great prison scene and the Comedian's fight to do it.
That guy commented again, he's cool. Yeah.
"Don't any of the mouth breathers who attend these think, for a second, that maybe the question to ask isn't 'Hey, how'd ya done did them ink blots on Ro-Shak?', but instead 'Can you shed any light on the rumors that the ending has been completely changed from Lovecraftian Alien Monster killing half of New York to something else entirely?'.
Christ. Why is it the only people who get to attend these are also the most uninformed about the property and buzz?".
I never heard that rumour, but I'm curious now. It woudn't surprise me, though.
"Oh but a monster is too silly, and killing New York isn't allowed in this day and age.". He needs to keep both.

Supposedly, the ending's been changed to some crap involving
Spoiler:. I am not happy. At all.
Dr Manhattan being framed by Veidt for killing people in many cities across the world. It involves some kind of device mimicking Manhattan's powers, apparently

Well, I was looking forward to this until I heard that, and realised I'll spend several months of next year explaining to dumbasses that Snyder ****ed up and that the graphic novel is vastly superior. I'm afraid that, assuming it's true, I think it comes across as being inexcusable. I could almost forgive a change to the look of the alien, but the ending only works because it is an alien threat. Manhattan being American is a slight flaw in Snyder's plan...
