Manhattan is one of the most emotive, loving characters in comic history.
meh, i thought he was too stoic. and kinda selfish and at times just uncaring. he looked cool though.
why didn't he wear clothes most of the time. thought he was to good for 'em..?
dunno something about him seemed as if he's stuck up..

but he still did wear clothes didn't he? that tux, right?
or does he do it only when it counts..that's gay.
Originally posted by FistOfThe NorthHe only wears the tux on a few occasions; in the past, when he still felt human, and when he's in public (the Comedian's funeral and when he appears on TV).

No, it's not "gay", at all, jackass. Why would someone with no connection to humanity wear clothes? He doesn't need them to keep warm, and he doesn't feel embarassment or whatever when he's naked, so I can't see a reason for Manhattan to wear clothes at all...

oh hush you just like to looking at his blue penis.
and let's not forget that the blue man group wannabe isn't real. so don't blow an eye vein over it all. just saying that, imo, he's not all that..
he's a bore, really..
Well I finally finished the comic today and have to say there were things I liked better from the movie like how they had fight scenes in the end against Veidt where in the comic all they had were two attempts by Rorschach to attack him. But other than minor stuff like that I think I enjoyed the comic better, the movie was lacking in the telling of how ordinary people were getting along, there was little to no suspense or worry that nuclear war was upon them like in the comic. And it completely left out Hollis getting killed. And maybe it was just me but I felt they completely distorted Nite Owl II. In the comic he was fat and he wasn't much of a fighter. In the movie he was slim a just as good at fighting as Rorschach. I dunno that was just bugging me.

I think in the extended version of the DVD that's going to be released, they said that it'll include Hollis getting murdered. It was filmed, but it was cut due to time constraints, I believe.
I also heard they actually filmed the comics ending aka the alien squid for the film, I'm not sure if that's 100% true (if someone could clarify that would be great.) but it would be nice to see that on the DVD release.

This is pretty interesting. Seems to explain the loss of the squid, and some other parts.

That is false, Zack Synder confirmed months ago that there was no squid ending that has been filmed.
