At the start of the game YOU get to decide what gender Revan was through the conversation with Atton, this has a lingering effect on the gender throughout the game (a few bugs though).

Revan sounds like a very male name. But who cares.

I'm sure the Sith would defeat Sephiroth. Precognition and all is a huge asset.

it's because of him being in a rpg where you can select his gender that's why. but by creators he is consider male.
