well, I'd say Link would probably see how gay Sephiroth is and after noticing the fact Kain has turned on his own opponent, do the same. Either walking away and ignoring the match or Joining with Kain.

Ok for real. Sephiroth uses his Tk to cancel out Kain's Tk abilities.
Link is like "HIYAAH!!" teleports "Seyah!" lunging the Master Sword with his ultimate strength into Dante's heart. Which by Gumachi's own words is the only way to destroy Dante. Link twists the blade, pulls it out and Kain in a feverish manner quickly sucks up all the blood Dante can supply and in turn, now Kain has all of Dante's powers and abilities plus his own.
But behold, Sephiroth's will now activates and he has the will to lay the rape and SuperNova's Kain. Kain's does Repel but at this time Link with the Fire Tunic and Pegasus boots on, with golden gauntlets, Nayru's love, all quick casted, charges onward into the blast to at the very end of the 10 second frame of repel to bone Kain lunge. Pulls out and back flips.
