Tales of the Black Freighter

Anyone seen Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter yet?

No. Don't intend to either. It's pretty pointless without being side-by-side with Watchmen itself (comic/ film). Can't see it working well in the film's director's cut either, though, but maybe I'll be proven wrong...

post a review of it

It's a good stand alone movie. You don't need to be familiar with the Watchmen comic or film to get something out of this movie. Although, there is a deeper appreciation to be had for the fans. If you like animated movies i would recommend this.

shouldn't this be merged with the watchmen thread?

How long is it? The Black Freighter didn't take up a great deal of the comic.

Also, what's Under The Hood like?

it was like 25 minutes, it was meh. Not all that interesting.

Under the hood was great it was like a real life documentary, and added alot of depth to it. Everyone was spot on with the way their characters act, and they said alot of stuff that would happen in ways later on. It even had a commercial for Veidt's nostalgia, and other products in their world.

hmm Under the hood sounds cool anyways but I think I'll wait for it to come out on the Watchmen DVD

It's too bad that they kept under the hood PG and didn't go into hooded justice and captain metropolis being rough trade lovers.
