I wouldn't say that Doom could easily beat her but I can't also understand why you guys think that she would beat him with just a word. If he could hold his own against Morgana he will definitely give Zatana a hard time

He didn't even mess up Morgana's hair 😬. Morgana is a high level magic user Zatanna is near that level in my opinion.

He was stalemating her for quite a while. Long enough for HAMMER to call in backup. I realize she got the better of him, but it didn't seem easy by any means.

He was fighting her evenly for awhile, and he was only using magic, he didn't even use the capabilities of his suit.

And Doom has shown that he can use both magic and his suit simultaneously, also Morgana had prep.

Doom went back in time to kick her ass anyway.

could be in terms of power although Morgana has many more years of experience. I think Doom could find a way to use his tech and spells together. It can go both ways for me though
