I've seen several of those supposedly "Veteran" movies on youtube, but he simply takes way too many hits without dying, it's just silly.Just got snatch and grab left to do now, do anyone know of there's any point in clearing the ridge before taking the intel? Me and a friend cleared the area beyond the intel, picked up the intel and jumped down, and got slaughtered. So it seemed like it respawned after picking it up, but we might just have missed a 10 enemies somewhere...
Yeah, that video is bullshit, you can't drop a juggernaut with two shotgun bursts.
Best and easiest tactic i used for Snatch and grab was simply taking my time and sticking to the far left. Using the thermal scope, this is a breeze up until the section where you have to drop down out of the severed plane, but even then, it's not to bad if you stay a bit separated from your partner and have him watching your six with the intervention. IF you do that, the juggernauts shouldn't be a problem.
The only one i have left is, Waterworks. Such a pain in the ass.
Right, I forgot to say (because it's oh so important lol 😛 ): I finished all the Spec-Ops Missions, every star, everything. Done. Rocked. Over.
When I did Snatch and Grab (our last one we did) after watching that ridiculous speed run posted on here, I did pretty much what JBJ above me did...only without the whole "taking my time" thing, kinda pushed right through. My friend kept saying I was scaring because he would turn around to shoot someone behind us and I would be ridiculously far ahead 😛 All in all, good (sometimes frustrating) missions!

You should have seen my followup post;

This is ****ings ridiculous. I just decided to try this approach, and on my fourth attempt, it suddenly worked.... But it makes no sense, I don't even know how I survived, I just suddenly made it to the intel alive and from there I was never hit again... I guess you shock and awe the game by running so fast that it forgets to spawn enemies. Finished it in 1 min 21 sec..... just ridiculous.
So yeah, I got 1000/1000 GS on MW2 for a little while now.

Yeah the patch is available on Xbox live. Got it myself before playing some demolition.
About time they fixed it.
Heres some of the things fixed:
We've updated the PS3 & Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks (including the prevention of negative XP)
anyone have tips for the best gun/perk combo in multiplayer? Right now i'm doing UMP45 (red dot sight) with increase damage, extra ammo, and final stand on most missions. I'm a lvl 50 right now... don't know if anything else is better
and for killstreaks i'm debating between:
5) predator missle
7) harrier
9) pavelow
or
7)harrier
9)pavelow)
11) AC130
it seems that whatever combination I pick, I wind up dying 1 kill short of the first reward. grrr

The UMP45 is a good weapon. I use it with a silencer. I also use the Scar-H and ACR with silencer as well. I like the silencer because it is very annoying how your location gets pinpointed in the radar when you shoot. Silencer increases the odds of successfully ambush groups of enemies without them even knowing what hit them.
I like Stopping Power Pro, Scavenger Pro and most of the time I alternate between commando pro(when using the UMP45) and steady aim.
I use the tactical respawn with the UMP-45 specops class.
I have other classes with ninja pro and cold blood to deal with the hearbeat sensor and killstreak rewards.
if you're getting killed before you get your killstreaks try the mind games. If you kill over 5 dudes in a row you can bet at least 3 of them will try to get back at you. What I usually do is move from my current position without getting to far so I can nail them if they try to kill me in the spot I used to be.
Easiest way to net nuke is harriers, ac130/chopper gunner(i prefer cg) and nuke.

hmmm... might try the silencer. I just can't seem to aim for shit with the iron sight though. I just tried doing 2 attachments instead of scavenger (red dot sight and rapid fire) and raped everyone... wound up calling in harriers pavelow and AC 130 but then ran out of ammo and died
thanks for tips though, ill go check those out
yeah the definitive nuke class is always harrier>chopper gunner>nuke. AC-130 is harder to kill but its easier to get kills with the chopper gunner and most matches people dont have a lot of anti-air equipment
the UMP .45 is imo the best weapon of the game, SMG speed and ironsights+assault rifle damage and range. also, the UMP is i believe the only weapon besides the FAL that has almost 0 range and damage decrease from using a silencer (the stats within the game arent accurate), so thats a +, because there are only advantages to putting the silencer on it. the iron sights are good enough that you dont need the red dot either.
another thing is that stopping power doesnt have a big effect on the UMP. it only lessons the amount of bullets it takes to kill someone by 1, so its not very useful.
commando and final stand dont seem like efficient perks to use for the UMP because neither of them compliment the UMP's beastly close range abilities. personally id recommend either ninja or steady aim.
when i was using the ump my setup was
UMP /w Silencer
Sleight of Hand/Scavenger
Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja/Steady Aim
i dont play with the class anymore though because its too easy to get kills with it imo, its the same reason why i dont use chopper gunner and harrier
the only setup i use now is:
intervention /w FMJ- too easy with thermal
sleight of hand pro- for quick scoping
cold blooded pro- too easy with stopping power
steady aim- for no scoping
its really fun to that setup because most of my shots dont kill in one hit unless my aim is good so its a challenge
killstreaks:
UAV
precision airstrike
pave low
Nice setup. I agree with UMP45. Its one beast weapon. I personally rank it up there with the best of assault rifles. Stopping power isn't needed, but the extra power aint bad either. Kills on 2 shots wich is very forgiving. The UMP is probably my 2nd favorite gun. Its just beast all around.
The intervention is fun.
I like commando because the range on the melee is nasty, but steady aim(my fav) and cold blooded work too.
Edit: I wonder why there are so many people without an anti-air class. I mean...killstreaks are cheap, and having 1 class with a stinger is never bad. I love taking down harriers/choppers because more often than not your teammates lack anti-air setups(which quite frankly sucks) and they end up dying far too many times.
so does rapid fire/stopping power really matter with the ump45? i'm thinking i should go with red dot sight, scavenger, cold blood, and commando (don't see a difference with steady aim)
and yeah, I use the javelin all the time... especially on the open maps like wasteland where your team gets raped if any air support comes.

IMHO it doesn't really matter what you tag the UMP45 with. Stopping Power Pro makes missing a few shots forgiving(good when warming up). Cold blooded makes you almost invisible since killstreaks/uav/sentries will not get you, rapid fire kindda has the same value as stopping power: it makes up for your missed shots.
So long as you learn how to manage the UMP45 recoil(I think you already do since you prefer it) you shouldn't really have any problem with the perks. I don't use hardline because it is only effective with the easier killstreak rewards. Though UAV/counter uav are beast. They work great for teamwork.
