I can't seem to see the other scans. Everytime I try to click on a new scan, it brings me back to the first scan.

Well, the first scan's URL ending is 'Thanos_Morg_orb1'....try changing the URL to 'Thanos_Morg_orb2,' 'orb3,' etc. That's how they're labeled.

Might be able to see 'em fine then.

Tyarnt

And we have no idea what that supposed "powerup" did to Thanos against Tyrant, or if it was even a powerup.

As usual, Kris was probably initially correct with the quoted statement. I went back through some things, and found a lot of strong evidence to support that not only did the orb not contain Morg's Power Cosmic (as CelestialDemon pointed out), but it didn't contain any power whatsoever besides knowledge. Evidence for this is pretty conclusive. First off, the event of Thanos stealing Tyrant's orb is mentioned here:

Tyrant clearly has a lot of them...which Jakar and a few others steal. Take a look, because it seems like the same type of orb that Thanos stole:

That being said...its explicitly referred to as a 'globe of knowledge' by multiple people. Nothing regarding a power amp is mentioned:

And this interpretation fits in perfectly with what Thanos says afterwards when he's studying his own orb which he stole from Tyrant:

"I sought knowledge...because in knowledge there is power. From that knowledge arose a goal. And I have conquered that goal. Now I probe the spoils of my struggle...attempting to learn its secrets and gain more knowledge."

So...a reasonable argument could be made that Thanos took on Tyrant with his base power. And I think a lot of the textual evidence supports it.

Thanos held good for a while, although Tyrant would kill him quickly, if the battle continued. But I can't see Thanos defeating those team of six powerful members (Silver Surfer, Morg, Terrax, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Ganymede, and Jack of Hearts) with his base power.

But I think Thanos only did well against Tyrant, because he was studying him and knew to where he could push his limit and for how long he could hold to get what he wants.

Nicely done, now, if I may...

Also, iirc, the orbs were there so Tyrant could store energy from all the power he lost when he fought Galactus.

Thor 5,1/10

I think it should be mentioned that to some characters in marvel knowledge = power, take a look at Korvac hooking himself up to Taa II and had his power increased exponentially.

Yeah...KG already posted those pics on the previous page. And I have them, too. But as I also posted on the last page, the comic makes it pretty clear that Tyrant gives Morg his power back so he can fight the intruders. So, the orb couldn't be filled with Morg's PC. What was it filled with, then?

My post kinda addresses that.

Also, the idea about storing energy that you're thinking of probably comes from...SS 81, maybe? Tyrant hooks up his captives (SS, Gladiator, Morg, Terrax, etc) to a machine and states that he'll drain them in order to power his worldship's weapons, etc, for galactic conquest. It never mentions that the energy would be stored in anything. Especially orbs.
