Why isn't anyone helping 👇

It's not talked about enough. Male suicide rates are quite high compared to females, but we never hear much about it. Men's rights is a meh issue for some.

It's actually really bummed me out to hear that it was another suicide
Same. You can have a long and successful career but it won't save you from the killer of depression

Yeah, My mate hung himself July 2015 and until then I never realised how many men under 45 killed themselves until I looked into suicide prevention because that death really hit me hard.

Lots of my friends share suicide prevention posts these days, which is something I never used to see.

But it's still not enough and needs to be addressed

Just like domestic abuse against men. that's something I feel strongly about too. it's not taken seriously enough.

Problem is Men's rights is taboo for some. Some assume it's all about misogyny or that men do not face any real issues.

That isn't men's rights though. Men's rights is a different topic. Like men's rights is more to do with legal stuff, like how men have less rights with child custody, etc.

But I get what you mean

Yeah if you're a man in an abusive relationship you pretty much get laughed at

Which is actually a 'feminist' thing too – like the idea that women are weak, etc. so shouldn't be taken seriously

Just goes to show how ****ed up our ideals are as a society regarding gender. Men have to be strong, women are weak and submissive, etc. It's all pretty stupid really

You know what's not talked about enough? The whole deal with the guy who founded McAfee, he went insane or something

The Men's Rights movement does talk about how suicide rates among males are ignored. Along with the domestic abuse rates of men. Along with how young boys in schools are apparently falling behind compared to females, but nobody seems to care.

The Men's Rights movement are also generally a bunch of ****ing loons that spend too much time on Return of Kings

If you care about Men's Rights but laugh at feminism, you're a ****. If you claim to be a feminist but don't give a shit about men, you're also a ****.

Maybe learn what actually happened so you can state facts before bringing it up?

You have a lot of loons in the feminist movement too.

As for laughing, I laugh at cancerous feminism. Give me some Christina Hoff Summers, I won't laugh. Gimme some Camille Paglia, I won't laugh.

Give me some chick whining about patriarchy and claiming we have a rape culture and I'll laugh. Give me someone bringing up the 1 in 4 stat and I'll laugh.

Oh shit

We're on a near dead internet forum, not live television. We can speculate all we want.

Speculation is generally a pretty bad thing to indulge in imo, I try to avoid it personally, because I see it as pretty useless overall

I'd actually like to have a bit of a debate but I'm also talking to someone else about some important shit so can I take a rain check? Hit me up in a few days and I'll be happy to put some time into a proper debate-y thing about gender politics

We haven't had one in a while tbf

We don't want none

Is it anymore useless than cat pictures and avocado pictures? IMO no.
