I'm nearly halfway through Infinite Jest

I'm reading "small great things" by Jodi Picoult and it's pretty hard going

It about racism and so I get angry a lot and have to stop 😑

I'm just over half way

I end up stopping a lot in Infinite Jest too, but that's mostly because it's insanely dense at times, is 1000 pages long with another 100 pages of endnotes (which means every time a note appears on the page you have to go all the way to the back to see what it's talking about. It's the only book I've read where I've needed two bookmarks)

I'm finally getting into the meat of the book now though and it's getting a bit more easy going, there hasn't been one of those "four pages without a full stop in sight" chapters for a while

I hate having text conversations with ppl a song normal talk to cause I never know when to end it and then I worry I seem rude if I don't reply or do they think that's ok or are they waiting forever for a further response idk idk

Yeah ngl Infinite Jest is a book often associated with people who read it just so they can say that they've read Infinite Jest

I mean it was kind of a personal test in reading it but I am enjoying it a lot, it's memorable in a chapter-by-chapter way which is actually pretty rare in most books

Scribs you've become so pretentious and hipster these days I just don't know who you are anymore

Btw it's taken me a year at least to get where I am now with it, in fact I think maybe a bit longer even
