Indeed, though one thing that irks me is when people here talk about gun death statistics and they give a number that includes suicides without specifying the percentage of the deaths that came from suicide(which are a majority of gun deaths I think). It tends to give the impression there are way more people going out and just blowing people away than there actually is.

I'd also argue...you guys got like 60 million people, we have over 300 million of varying cultures, etc. I am not saying those are the *only* reasons there are differences in gun deaths and stuff, but IMO they do factor in.

That's why we use the "per capita" number, so it accurately reflects on the difference of population sizes, sport
