I think purposely infecting someone with a disease that will last for the rest of their lives and force them to alter their lifestyle and spend the rest of their lives on a variety of medications to maintain any normalcy should result in a felony charge.
I can't understand how an adult could think otherwise. And that doesn't even get into the financial costs of treating the illness. No, it should absolutely be a felony.
