I have a hard time appreciating Polanski at this point even though he made Repulsion, which is a film I really like. Part of me understands that he was probably a mental wreck after his wife got murdered by Charles Manson and also that the girl has forgiven him, but there are just some things that can't be excused in any circumstances. But he also made Chinatown.

I don't understand what his work has to do with what he did though.

If William Shatner became a crazy serial killer I wouldn't suddenly not like Star Trek.

Yeah but Shat's just an actor. In the case of Polanski, he's a director, and when you watch a film it's like the director is giving you a part of themself. I don't want a part of a nonce jafeel awehuhs

I wonder if there are other things Spacey did though. Because now I'm hearing about a joke in Family Guy Seth MacFarlane did years ago about Spacey. So did he make that joke because he had heard about this one incident? Or had he heard of a different incident?

I heard something about him being a bit forward sexually in general. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he is just forward but not weird and pushy or whether there actually is a much darker side to him
