thats because you have no emotional investment in punishing poor children. get back to us when you have experience being consumed by bitterness and scapegoat mentallity.

Nicer to whom, oversensitive twatts? Let the little kids be little kids. Don't weigh them down with stupid bullshit.
It has nothing to do with them though, those people are just trying to make it more inclusive but going about it the wrong way. I agree with the sentiment but disagree with the approach (same with most modern left politics)

So if we make it known that it's okay for poor kids to go out trick or treating without a costume then everybody wins

TI's gone apeshit in the gdf

Holy shit stop with the "poor children" thing. Halloween costumes don't need to be encrusted with f*cking diamonds.

BE CREATIVE. How is this hard?

I mean holy shit how much does a mask cost? 18,000 grand?

TIL: Being destitute means you're just an "oversensitive ****"

And here I thought the "Lefttist!" were supposed to be the elitist...

Holy shit, destitute? It's a f*cking halloween costume. You aren't going to a ball to make the handsome prince fall in love with you to lift you out of a life of poverty.

It's ridiculous. Throw on a mask, doesn't need to be fancy.

I'm sure there are kids with allergies who can't even eat most candies, so hey just hand out fruit to everyone.

Um, did you never go to grade or middle school? Do you not know how kids' view things, it's not really rational like adults, at least some/most adults. But do continue with your elitism 👆

YES I did. And no, not everyone had an awesome costume. Some years I had homemade shit, I was fine.

It's ridiculous. I'm an elitist because I'm saying you don't need to be massively wealthy to get a halloween costume? Good god this is the problem with our country. We're doomed.

You're flipping out right now over this, but sure, you're "fine".

...I'm pointing out how asinine it is to pull the "poor kids" card in regards to Halloween.

And yes, as a kid I didn't always have costumes bought at the store. I was fine, had no problems.

Truth is this has zero to do with poverty and everything to do with just not giving a shit.

Sad, really. Bada will just do a mass wipe. So he's really just wasting his time.

He'd be better off making an account and PMing Bada, seeing if they can find a common ground. The Trumper racist (I know, redundant) known as 'Ziggy' did that and he's now allowed to stay if he behaves, seems reasonable too me.

Maybe just accept that some kids either can't afford or just don't want to wear costumes or something? Like using a bit of empathy is not that difficult man. Like it costs you nothing

I don't see why just being a bit thoughtful is that much of an issue these days

Okay, so why would you pull this BS? Not wanting to wear a costume is a far cry from not being able to afford it.

You can get a costume for a few bucks really. If the kid doesn't want to participate okay fine, but do not let laziness and "we're poor!" be the excuse. It's not, unless a person have no imagination.

seems simple enough. but alas...

Why is it thoughtful to ruin the time of other kids because you are too lazy to get your kid a costume? And yeah, it's laziness. These things are not expensive, not all of them. I bet these folks have phones, tv, internet, etc. They can afford a $5 costume.

Maybe don't give kids summer vacation off? Not all have families that can afford to go on vacations. Some will just be stuck in the house.

To add to your brilliant point, not only does showing a shred of empathy cost the person nothing, it can in turn be VERY rewarding on a personal level.

eg I have no problem buying a homeless person lunch, sure it cost some money but in the big picture what's say $8-$12? I know I'll never get a return for my actions, but the feel good feeling is well worth it.

It's a sad world we live in when the "simplest" solution is to let dipshits run rampant and dictate what you do because you're too lazy to get involved with your kid. Do not have children then, simple.

bada ruined my life

yes yes we know.
