Idk. I can go a few days with out alcohol fine, but as soon as I have one drink, I have to keep drinking to get drunk.

The last week has just been a week of getting drink, drinking it, passing out, rinse and repeat.

It costs a lot less to get to Kings Cross from mine tho! It's not my fault that I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me (I'm just a poor boy from a poor family) spare me my life from this monstrosity

I consider myself an alcoholic

Being a drunk means I'd be drunk all the time

Being alcohol dependent means you need it to get by day-by-day

But even when I don't drink for ages I crave it. Constantly almost. Not as badly as I did in 2014-16, but it's still there, like an alcoholic gene that was just waiting to surface all my life. It's like the phrase "once a smoker, always a smoker." Even when you quit the feeling of need remains

So I'm an alcoholic, but not necessarily a bad one. Just a general one I suppose. But if I had money and if my life keeps going as shit as it has last few years I can see me drinking myself to death on whisky

I think craving alcohol and needing alcohol is the difference

Luke if you get the shakes and find you can’t function without a drink - that’s being an alcoholic

Like alcohol dependants can’t quit alcohol cold turkey as it can kill them
