MUCH better than the TRASH you call music from Radiohead!

👆

I like pretty much all music my friend

Much like my marvellous palette, my taste in music is refined and just generally super inclusive and awesome stoned

Although there's always new stuff to discover, the Partridge Family had eluded me all this time somehow so idk

Hey Lobbo what's your favourite band and album

Be nice if my mind could switch off long enough to let me decide to go to sleep

Favorite band.

That is tough.

Parliament Funkadelic
Earth, Wind, and Fire
Isley Brothers
Public Enemy
Outkast
Wu Tang Clan

Favorite album from a band?

That is tough.

P.E.- IT TAKES A NATION OF MILLIONS TO HOLD US BACK
Parliament Funkadelic- ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE
There are so many

You have taste I can respect. I love Parliament and Funkadelic, pretty much all of their albums are classics. One Nation in particular is great. That has that really weird song on it, right? The one where George Clinton keeps saying "Fear of being eaten by a sandwich." That line cracks me up every time.

Isley Brothers are similar in terms of variety, they have such a range of styles throughout their albums, from the early soul classics to the more hard-hitting funk stuff. But "This Old Heart Of Mine" has to be my top track pick, I love that song.

PE's It Takes a Nation... is possibly my favourite hip-hop album. Can't beat Wu-Tang, either, particularly the first album, that whole thing is fantastic. Wintery NYC hip-hop. Lush.

Respek, sir. Respek.

Got me listening to This Old Heart Of Mine now

When you're done venture into Willie Hutch if you haven't.

1. I CHOOSE YOU
2. MELLOW MELLOW
3.BROTHERS GONNA WORK IT OUT

I'll check him out, wasn't aware of him before. Talking of movie soundtracks, is Hutch's stuff similar to Curtis Mayfield and his Superfly soundtrack?

Yes!

THE MACK is 1973 and I believe SUPERFLY is 1974 and FOXY BROWN is 1975 IIRC.

Sounds like my kind of stuff, I'll check out those tracks as a starting point

Oh I recognise I Choose You for sure
