I liked Tobey. He acted like a 1960s/1970s version of Spiderman. When he is "evil" his best insult is "Gonna put some dirt in your eye" lol.

I just wanted to punch him in the face. He irritated me to no end and I don't remember thinking that when I read Spider-Man comics back in the day

Sometimes yeah I wanted to do that too, but I still like him.

Also that series produced one of the best video games based on a movie. Games based on movies are notoriously shitty, but Spiderman 2 was fun as hell.

While I'll admit the game was, at the time, the best comic book video game ever made, I still couldn't stand Tobey Maguire's acting.
