Although I suppose most people don't regularly listen to 7 and a half minute songs

Yep, best to aim for 3-4 minutes imo. There are a few long songs I do enjoy though, mostly from The Doors.

This session may actually start with a player character being killed... by me and an NPC. He turned into a werewolf at the end of a battle where he nearly died, and the NPC despises werewolves, and my character hates werewolves and vampires and refuses to travel with one. He starts the session unconscious on the ground. Shit might get real.

Nah **** that, I listen to plenty of long-ass songs. The Doors are a great example of long songs but there are plenty. Most of my songs are 3 to 5 mins generally but these songs required their length. Although on my album I do have two 8-min tracks among all the other shorter ones, they close each 'side' of the album (not that albums have sides post-record, but you get the idea)

You ever play that game where you're a guy in some cabin and you gotta fight off werewolves? I have it on steam somewhere.

I haven't, sounds cool though

There are some good long songs, but I just prefer 3-4 minute songs. Though I am listening to a long song atm, Bela Lugosi's Dead.

Bauhaus are good shit. Yeah, I generally listen to albums with shorter songs too tbf, although I also like prog albums that have like 3 songs on that are all super long. Depends on my mood, I usually opt for shorter songed albums because that way I can listen to more in a shorter amount of time

You listen to Glenn Miller?

Probably, I'm not particularly familiar with his work though

Anyone got any good apocalyptic folk bands to rec me tho
