As much as I loath pedos, that's going a bit too far. The state doesn't put signs up of the names of murderers who served their time.

Compared to a guy who was 30 and abused a 9yr old

I remember where I used to live there was this pedo guy, literally lived next to the park where we lived and someone put the newspaper page about him and like stuck it to the swings. I can't remember much about it like he either didn't go to prison or only for a short while, his wife was on the council too. I was like 9 when that happened

Makes me think of this one horror tv series that was like an anthology. One episode has some neighborhood get informed about a new guy who just moved in and how he is a sex offender. The people get paranoid cuz they have kids, in the end they end up murdering him. Then they find out the fliers and stuff saying a pedophile lived there had been sent to the wrong complex...

i only ever went fishing once with my mates from this training course thing and by the time we got kicked out of the school thing, got to mates house got some shit to go fishing and go to where we were fishing it was like 4pm and i was like i cba so i went home, turns out they only caught a seagull. never fished again after that.
