they start aboard the largest ship ever made.
a wizard blessed the ship with magic to keep its crew safe. but it is attacked by a wild storm and sinks. the blessing keeps the air inside thr ship and the crew and heroes..mostly in tact.
but the ship is quickly overrun by sea monsters.
the heroes must battle their way to freedom.
they find that the sea monsters are under control of a powerful foe ( its an illithid. its always an illithid) who has tasked them to free him from the ships secret dungeon. the wizard knew he was being transported and tries to keep him captive but the price is that all his magic is being focused on keeping s bubble of air around the ship. so he cant cast spells but they must work together to keep the illithid locked up and somehow free themselves from the depths.
be careful with fire spells, the ships inventory was loaded with gun powder. ahahahahahahahahaha.
