Yeah, and it's just weird cuz so many people falsely label him alt right, so the phrase is more or less meaningless. Though IMO "alt right" is just a cowardly way of calling someone a nazi. He doesn't talk as much shit about the alt right as some want...but the reason is because he genuinely hopes he can reach these people and help them change.

I do notice there is this trend where people who aren't close to being alt right are labeled as such. Sargon of Akkad recently joined UKIP because he feels they are the ones fighting the most for free speech. Paul Joseph Watson and Count Dankula also joined. A lot of media outlets in the UK described this as a bunch of alt righters joining UKIP lol.

PJW is trash, tho. And **** UKIP, too.

correct 👆

PJW is definitely an influential figure to the alt-right, and his views align with the alt-right way more than, say, Peterson. The reason I'm warming to Peterson is because he, unlike those people you just mentioned, isn't willing to join a specific side just because that side temporarily aligns with his stance. He'll point out how wrong all sides are, as best he can; that's something I can dig.

He might be trash, but he isn't alt right. He doesn't want an ethnostate. Doesn't seem to hate jews either. He also believes in free speech. The alt right does not believe in free speech(their poster boy even said this). He might tick off a few of the boxes, but he doesn't tick off enough that it's legit to call him alt right.

And if they are right in that UKIP is the most likely party to fight for free speech...that's kinda bleak. I have no idea if they are correct, but seeing the type of censorship going on...it wouldn't shock me.

The EU is close to enacting a measure where one of the side effects would potentially ban memes.

Sargon just plain got fed up with the censoring bullshit going on. And why wouldn't he? His livelihood kinda depends on free speech. Jordan Petersons main job wasn't being an internet personality. He has being a professor to fall back on.

I mean free speech is under attack basically, yeah, from all sides, but I still wouldn't turn to UKIP as a resort because I'm not a one-issue voter, I stand for free speech but also stand against basically everything else UKIP has to offer; I'm not an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of guy, because often enemies of my enemies are also my enemies anyway.

Your point about the alt-right is good, though – they've existed for long enough that their views should be seen as more concrete, because otherwise anything can be considered alt-right. Like I say, PJW is liked by the alt-right, but yeah, he isn't alt-right by any real ideological definition.

But if your livelihood was tied up in speech not being censored...it might cause you to rethink.

Sargon has a family, he has children and his means of providing for them is under attack by his own country.

I s2g, Jordan Peterson could be played in a movie by Daniel Day Lewis, Jeremy Irons or Michael Sheen, and any of them would work perfectly. How can a person look exactly like three different individuals who don't look alike? Shit's freaking me out

I don't even know if that makes sense tbh

Did you see Cathy Newman interview Jordan? It is HILARIOUS. He f*cking embarrasses her.

Feminists always think they can get a "gotcha" with this guy and they always fail.

Did you hear about the university in this country where a teachers assistant played a clip of JP? Then faculty members took her aside and berated her for it. Said her presenting the piece neutrally was like showing clips of Hitler and being neutral. We know they said this because she wisely recorded it lol.

What scares me is this country is becoming like one big college campus. Silly shit that only would have been acceptable on college campuses is spilling out into the real world.

That is true, and I wouldn't want to be put in a scenario like that. But it'd be easier for Sargon / Carl Benjamin to ally with UKIP as a lot of his views directly align with theirs anyway. For the record, I think Carl Benjamin is a piece of shit.
