I'm in west yorkshire.

Keep your nose clean then. Would not want you to be one of the 9 people arrested each day in the UK for online hate speech.

Lol, a tweet from the Yorkshire police.

It gets better, their tweet response after being called out:

"police can only prosecute when the law is broken, but we want to know about non-crime hate incidents. Incidents may not be criminal offenses but can feel like a crime to those affected, & can sometimes escalate to crimes.”

Lol Piggle, Walshy, or Scribble...is Yorkshire near you guys? [/B]

I lived in West Yorkshire for a few years until like a year ago and really enjoyed my time there. Saw that tweet via Peterson and heaven forbid, wtf on earth is a 'non-crime hate incident', specifically? Sounds usefully vague to the right people. What a crock of shit.

I think it's fine like if someone is a known racist or something then idk punches a black guy cause he's black they'd have known this guy is a racist and it wasn't like just a night out in Yorkshire that ended in a fight

Yeah it could be useful for that or maybe just report crimes like you're supposed to without dipping your toe into deeper and deeper thoughtcrime and outright authoritarianism

I think it's usually pretty obvious when it's a hate crime, without any prior knowledge. Racists are hardly subtle, if he did punch a black guy, he'd probably also be hurling racist epithets at the same time. Either way, it won't prevent the crime.
