The lawyer seems more concerned looking for evidence that may have been planted but if they could find someone else who might be a suspect why wouldn't they go for that? Be easier right?

I was suspicious cuz key evidence wasn't found until police had searched a place multiple times. That's suspicious as f*ck. It screams of the police planting evidence.

Or they are super incompetent and thus their judgement still isn't to be trusted.

Well I didn't do it I was actually 14 then and not in the same country
