I'll still crave nicotine when I cut the patches out, but the main thing with smoking for me is just that I love a nice roll-up cigarette. Hopefully once I'm less reliant on them / less used to smoking them a bunch, it'll make it easier to quit the patches, too. They also have a lower dose patch for people who've been on them a while, which makes it easier to fully quit when the time comes

Is it common for people to just permanently switch to gum/patches? Since you'd figure...the real danger is the smoking part. Surely you could slap on a patch or two or chew some nicotine gum to achieve the same desired effect though(chemically speaking)?
