you're mixing up two points. the justification was in that the rule is 'by the book'. this means that while it's true that what you did cause no damage, the same practice could be used on others, which could possibly cause damage or worse. thus the avoidance of "but surtur got away with it, why can't i"

that's why nobody gets away with it. if i got caught doing it i would have been banned as well, so stop acting like a phaggot and put on your big boy pants.
