apart from freezing with liquid nitrogen and striking them, how does one break sweat pants?

idek how but like the waistband flipped around or something so i'm pulling the strings to try fix it then i accidentally pull one string too hard and the other side goes into the waistband so i figure i'll pull it all out then fix the waistband then put the string back in...buuut i couldn't fix the waistband, i couldn't get the string back in and now they're totally ****ed and they were my favourite trousers 🙁
