I haven't watched star trek but I bought s01 of next gen recently and plan on watching it

I'm watching Babylon 5 rn and it's excellent

season one was kinda shitty in comparison to the rest. so if you like it, you're in for a great ride since imho it got better every season

There's a lot of it, so the prospect of it consistently getting better is definitely an incentive to watch it all eventually

i started babylon 5 but didn't get into it. maybe i should have just skipped the first season. everyone accused star trek deep space nine of ripping of babylon 5, so if you love one you should check out the other

Try watching it again, but don't skip the first season. The whole show is a slow progression of plot points that keep building and building and later seasons wouldn't make sense without watching season 1

I do need to check out more star trek tho. Who's the captain in Deep Space Nine?
