back in the day before you were born, we used to have these things called. VHS. a VHS was a type of tape in which people put movies on. now in order to watch a VHS, you would need something called a VCR.a VCR would translate the VHS to your TV. this was before people had digital TVs.
so anyway. the VCR had a clock on the front of it, so that it could tell people the time.
historically speaking. the clock on the VCR was really hard to set up. SO, whenever the power went out (which was often in the dark ages) the clock would reset and flash 12:00 over and over and over and over. this would go on forever, or at least until someone was brave enough to figure out how to set the clock.
