Not at all. Well...there are some decent ones. However I live near a train station and it's only 15 mins to get downtown.

EDIT: It would take longer by car and parking is very expensive.

It's not rare for Chicago. We have nearly 150 of these stations. A lot of people who live downtown do not own cars because it is not practical. So the system serves just as much as a way for people who don't live downtown to get easy access downtown as it does for people who live downtown to be able to easily go to anywhere in Chicago.
