Okay the other day I watched the TMNT episode of "The Toys That Made Us" and now I wanna go dig out my TMNT stuff. It showed all the classic toys, the technodrome, the sewer lair playset. The blimp. The turtle van.
TMNT was created by two guy and one of them sold his share of the rights to the other in the early 2000's. Then a few years later TMNT was sold to viacom for 60 million. The guy who originally sold his share got nothing lol.
