If u watch that "The Toys That Made Us" Barbie ep it's not as boring as you'd think. Apparently the doll originally came from the idea of a doll of a comic character who was a hooker.

Oh and one of the original things Barbie came with was a tiny book that said "how to lose weight" on the front. And on the back of it...it said "don't eat". Lol. Dayum, burn.

Makes me think of that Simpsons episode with the Malibu Stacey

They talk about how these dolls called "bratz" came out and were appealing to older girls so the company who makes Barbie tried to come out with a Barbie to appeal to the older crowd and it showed the commercial. It was barbies dancing while the song "whats your flavor" played.

Pure cringe.
