But then it turns out that, prior to the episode that addresses the Apu situation, the character had not been used in years.

I guess I'm confused are the stereotypes less racist if an indian guy does the voice or what? Every character is a stereotype.

To be fair the show just needs to end. It's like the family dog that has somehow managed to live for 30 years and it can no longer walk on its own and it shits and pisses all over the place. Just put the thing down.
