I ask because I saw a documentary detailing a large number of people who have sex change operations come to regret it. Even more troubling is that since reversal is impossible they often commit suicide as a result.

The media doesn't address that aspect of the subject often at all.

The transgender suicide rate is high yes, even post op. I think it's like 40%.
