I actually enjoy losing debates (in retrospect, at least), because I learn from them. I learned a lot from my debates with Surtur back a few years for one, he challenged a lot of my old left-wing beliefs. DDM has also always given me unique perspectives on issues that have helped me expand my own personal views
Part of the reason I enjoy watching people like Shapiro / PJW is because I frequently disagree with them, and watching them gives me a way of constructing arguments against what they say and seeing how they link to the things I agree with
