I hated the master system. that low framerate was too much. Sega Genesis on the other hand was their masterpiece

I really wanted to get a Nintendo switch, because zelda. all sold out and a bit too pricey anyway

I lived on that playing sonic

phantasy star II was dope af. I also played a lot of tommy lasorda baseball

I lost interest in the Nintendo after the 16 bit

The SNES was ok but eh

Nothing compared to the 16 bit joy

in my generation, I mean. that was basically a home version of a coin-op computer/console. expensive af

Maybe it was an American thing

games were very expensive for it as well. the cartridges were basically motherboards iirc

it was quite mind-blowing in it's day. nothing to even compare it to today. the whole home gaming industry was geared toward simulating the arcade experience, but neo-geo was the first to deliver it for real
