But they have the exact same members. Usually artists start side-[rojects because they want to start a band with some particular other artist(s), or want to make music the other band members don't agree with. FHT and the Network are just Green Day making different music than Green Day.

Well yeah, of course, they want to make different music, but they just want to keep it seperate from their main band. That's hardly a crime, is it?
