Conversion therapy? No, no, that's just silly. Gay conversion therapy has nothing to do with it. Gender Dysphoria is a legit mental illness, homosexuality isn't. I didn't go to therapy to be 'converted', I went to gain confidence (and sort out my other myriad issues I had then), and my therapist was helping me with it. I just realised that my wish was to be born a woman, which can't happen. So why go about pretending to be a woman, using their bathrooms, etc.? Woman aren't made by sticking a dress on and saying "I'm a lass now"
Bro you're either with them or against them. They don't provide 3rd options so unlearn the word "nuance" real quick.
I don't see how any of this changes my stance, I was always against the modern leftist gender narrative, like I say 'gender' is a postmodern term created by an actual verified child abuser and is meaningless. You can be androgynous, wear whatever clothes you like, barely anyone is against that, and in fact that was the whole argument up until recently!
Also seriously don't get me started because I have so many opinions on all of this

so basically you get to decide whether or not it's a legit state, based on how you feel. totally not egocentric.

My experience didn't reflect what I was made out to be at all.

Originally posted by Bashar TegNo, Gender Dysphoria is actually a mental disorder. This is a generally accepted fact. What is it otherwise? Dysphoria equates to 'feeling bad' so of course it exists in the realm of mental conditions. That's why it's called Gender Dysphoria: the bad feeling that arises from feeling that you have been born the wrong gender.

Which I get. I still wish I was born a girl, I think it'd have suited me better. But my GD went away when I dealt with my underlying problems, possible sexual abuse as a child, etc., and with that my depression went away, which meant that I felt better overall, which meant that I no longer felt truly 'dysphoric' about my sex.
It's not all that complicated imo, but it is interesting how it works

meanwhile what actually happened was that you threw transgender people under the bus, simply because you decided that you're not transgender.
if you did one without the other, my reaction would have been quite different
good luck with your strawman argument, tho. epic teamup with surt as usual 👆
I mean I'm a male human being, I don't see what bearing that has on my personality or whatever, I feel quite feminine and enjoy being feminine, which is like, fine. Men can be feminine, that was the big battle for ages, to allow men and women to be as masculine or feminine as they want, and to feel comfortable wearing whatever clothes they want, right?

Isn't it more of a condition than a disorder?

I have no problem with people with GD who identify as trans, but I do think they're being manipulated by leftist rhetoric designed to make them feel victimised. I speak with many transsexual and transgender people on Twitter and a lot of them share my views.

Originally posted by UnoriginalThat's more to do with phrasing than anything. Some people find 'disorder' to be too harsh a term, so they refer to it as a 'condition' instead, but it equates to the same. One of the key traits of Gender Dysphoria is suicidal ideation and suicide enaction, so I'd say that qualifies pretty distinctly as a disorder.

Replying to Surt ≠ teaming up with him, I don't need support when it comes to this topic, but he's allowed to agree with me if he likes, he's also allowed to disagree and I'm not gonna shit on him for it because he's entitled to his opinion. We used to debate about trans stuff all the time, and we still disagree about a lot, but that's fine.

you also requested that everyone address you as a woman, so basically you're a colossal hypocrite, making online sport of issues which really cost you nothing to begin with. was it fun?
You're seriously out of your league with this one, I'd suggest stepping down and bowing out with at least a shred of dignity intact.
