Do we gotta do this again?Calling a trans person a faker, a 'trap', comparing them to drag queens, saying 'they only do it for entertainment / attention', all of that is like, textbook transphobia. Like, it is, there's no debate here.

good so admit you were wrong that "drag queen" was a slur, in your own very mature way 👆

Bash running away from responsibility like
"So basically the word “trap” in theory refers to crossdressers who are deceiving people by presenting as a different gender, and for that should perhaps be seen as a threat. If you’re a trans person you probably already see what’s wrong with this. One of the pervasive and harmful stereotypes against trans people is that they’re deceiving people by presenting as a gender besides what they were assigned at birth. And not just harmful in a self-esteem sense, harmful in the sense that many trans people have been on the receiving end of violence at the hands of people who believe they’ve been tricked. This violence in many unfortunate situations has resulted in the deaths of trans people, and is occurring at a continually increasing rate. The fact that a term like “trap” fundamentally refers to being tricked in this usage makes it extremely concerning.
“But they’re not trans people”, you might say, “they’re crossdressers”. Indeed many characters identified as “traps” and individuals who self identify are in actual fact crossdressers, but as far as the perpetrators of violence against trans people are concerned there’s no distinction. To them trans people are just deceitful crossdressers, and the pervasiveness of that idea is precisely BECAUSE of cultural concepts like “traps”."

implying that transgenderism is a product of feelings as opposed to a legit identity tells me that eon does not believe in transgenderism.
i'll still call him (her?) whatever pronoun he pleases, but it seems to depend on his mood. wow that seems familiar
Why is 'Trap' considered to be a slur against trans people?
"Because the word has the connotation that trans women “trap” a man into somehow being gay if he has sex with us. Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to me either, but it holds the connotation that trans women are somehow deceptive and “out to get” cishet men.
Furthermore, it also insinuates that our actual gender isn’t real and that we’re just doing this to “con” cishet men. When in reality, the vast majority of trans people (in fact, almost all, if not all trans people) are sincere in our transitions. We do this because we need to in order to live an authentic life. We transition to STOP living a lie. To no longer be “trapped”."
