Why is 'Trap' considered to be a slur against trans people?"Because the word has the connotation that trans women “trap” a man into somehow being gay if he has sex with us. Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to me either, but it holds the connotation that trans women are somehow deceptive and “out to get” cishet men.
Furthermore, it also insinuates that our actual gender isn’t real and that we’re just doing this to “con” cishet men. When in reality, the vast majority of trans people (in fact, almost all, if not all trans people) are sincere in our transitions. We do this because we need to in order to live an authentic life. We transition to STOP living a lie. To no longer be “trapped”."

Conversion therapy? No, no, that's just silly. Gay conversion therapy has nothing to do with it. Gender Dysphoria is a legit mental illness, homosexuality isn't. I didn't go to therapy to be 'converted', I went to gain confidence (and sort out my other myriad issues I had then), and my therapist was helping me with it. I just realised that my wish was to be born a woman, which can't happen. So why go about pretending to be a woman, using their bathrooms, etc.? Woman aren't made by sticking a dress on and saying "I'm a lass now"

Originally posted by SurturYeah, it's not like I'm backpedaling on that stuff. I have serious issues with how the trans 'movement' (i.e., the TRAs) is heading. It's anti-science, anti-logic. But 'trans' means more than just that stuff, and there are people like Bash who make the world less safe for both transexuals, transgender people, and even just good old crossdressers who aren't 'trans', so I'd rather not sit in safety whilst those people go around pretending to be morally virtuous whilst presenting a real, calculable danger to people like me.
How dare he acknowledge reality.

demonize me all you wish. it's only making you look unhinged. but at least you have surt to convince you that you're right, while ironically delegitimizing transgenderness. but his genuine transphobia is cool, because you're friends. my faux-transphobia that you invented is what matters, because fee-fees
