Nvm you good!

I guess that I'd better go look at Facebook and all the messages people have sent me about me coming out... oh God

I think I am!

I've dealt with a lot of pain in my time and this is pretty minor. Being used in such a way sucks, but I think I feel worse for Eon - they felt compelled to do all of this for no reason, when we could have just had a nice friendship like we already had.

Doesn't really make a difference to me, plenty of people have reached out to me and been super kind and caring, so it's actually been an opportunity to see the good in people!

How long I decide to stay on KMC, who knows. Maybe I'll stick around, maybe not. The possibilities are endless!

I feel you killer.

You guys ever have this thing where like, say you're really into a show or a game and then something really anxiety inducing happens to you or like, an event happens that's really shitty (that has ZERO to do with whatever your currently into) and then all of a sudden you can't enjoy that thing anymore?

hell yeah, I've had that happen in the past. With certain bands/artists, too. And then you basically never return to it? That's how it usually goes for me

Yeah it's weird. I had like a pretty bad anxiety attack last weekend and I've had to basically reboot everything I was doing. Switched books, couldn't play the same video games, needed a new obsession. So weird that. I wonder if there's like a name for it

Damn, sorry to hear about that. That's a real ****around. What book are you reading rn? I just started The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. Pretty good so far. I'm also going deep and reading Epictetus, which has helped my overall mental state recently.

I've heard of Epictetus but no almost nothing in regards to it or them or what it is.

I'm now on "The Most Beautiful Woman in Town & Other Stories" by Bukowski.

Awesome! I felt like Bukowski yesterday, but I always do when I drink whiskey. Even moreso when drinking boilermakers, which iirc were a fave of his?

I haven't actually read that much of him yet, though..

Epictetus is the original stoic, essentially. His Discourses make up the main stoic canon. It's very good stuff. One bit I liked was about the idea of enjoying where you are and not always thinking about being somewhere else.

This guy says he's really sad about not being able to visit Athens, where the buildings are beautiful, and where there are more people. Epictetus says, "Are these not the same stars in the sky as those that shine above Athens?"

I think that's such a pretty way of saying it. He goes on to say that beauty is always around you, and you just need to appreciate what there is, rather than wishing you were elsewhere.

Wow people are being so kind and supportive about me coming out on Facebook. I'm overwhelmed by positivity and loveliness!! People really are good, I think. Sometimes I have reason to doubt that, but goodness will ultimately always win, I believe.

Yeah something about it really spoke to me

It’s just the mirror effect. Like lost limb syndrome.
Not recognizing your own image. It’s more complicated than that but in general stay in the light and truth and you’ll be o.k.
