Hey what's everyone's favorite movie? I've been making my way through my friends favorites during lockdown
Possession (1981)
Memories of Murder (2003)
Dogtooth (2009)
Koyaanisqatsi (1982)
The Exorcist III (1990, theatrical cut)
Robocop (1987)
Don't Look Now (1973)
Pom Poko (1994)
Spoorloos (1988, DO NOT WATCH THE REMAKE EVER)
Synecdoche, New York (2008)

Yeah I liked poltergeist too.

My top 10 is very variable to change so don't take that as definitive

Often Funny Games (1997), Star Wars (1977), Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970), Seven Samurai (1954), Drive (2011) and The Master (2012) show up, too.

David Lynch is suspiciously absent. That's because he's my favourite director and picking a favourite between Eraserhead, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive is impossible.

Aliens (1986) is debatably my all-time favourite, but everyone's seen that. Plus annoyingly there is no perfect cut of the movie, if the theatrical cut included the scene where Ripley finds out her daughter died whilst she was in space then that would be the best version. Annoyingly though it does not.

I was just reading about how some experts say dogs can sense ghosts or at least someone who died. Pretty amazing.

I've only seen Spoorloos once because it made me upset, disturbed and traumatised for like a week after watching it. It's incredible. Nothing violent or gratuitous at all, in fact it's mostly just a mystery film, but there's just this uh one bit that's like, ****

Also one of the characters looks slightly like xyz (no offense lol)

Oh yeah Cleo from 5 to 7 is also really great, my favourite French film (although Spoorloos is a French / Dutch co-production)

Schindler’s List was good. I’m reading a book just like it right now.

Waking Life, Fargo, Braindead (an early Peter Jackson film, oh my lord it's a masterpiece), Taxi Driver, Taste of Cherry, Rififi, Alien, Love Exposure, A Clockwork Orange, The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser, Spirited Away, Suspiria (both versions), Hot Fuzz, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Perfect Blue, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Evil Dead, THE THING, Apocalypse Now, Festen, The Battle of Algiers, Alice in Wonderland (1951), End of Evangelion, Last Year at Marienbad, Ms .45, Hausu, The Room, The Wizard of Oz, I mean I could go on

Same lol, it's kind of perfect

I really wish Arrow would put out a proper good blu-ray of Ms .45, their release of The Driller Killer is excellent and Ms .45 is a better film so they should do that too. With more Ferrara commentary too pls

Anyone want to buy me this for Christmas
