Looks like a lot of the capitol police are opening up about what it was like being attacked during the maga rally the other day and it sounds pretty brutal for some of them.
Oh no, not the lovely, peaceful cops

Wait, you mean the same ones that everyone was protesting last year for their systemic racial abuse and targeted executions of black people?

majors

I don't understand how the police let them storm the building, I saw one video that showed a police officer waving them towards the capitol so hard to feel sympathy for them

Like that woman got shot but they shouldn't have even got to that point

I should try storm parliament I wonder if it's as easy

I'm all for protestors getting inside those kinds of places. The government can handle a bit of futile anarchy, and if this is a 'democracy', then that area is the people's too, if they so choose. Tbh that should be the aim of any protest. But, you know, avoid any deaths, generally.

I'm way more concerned about the people's businesses that got burned down and looted during last summer's riots (not Target, **** them). I hope they all got insurance cheques and are doing alright. It was really irresponsible how the media and Democrat politicians handled that scenario, they caused so much damage through their actions and words, it was a real betrayal of the working classes.

(((emoticon)))

Do you think the BLM protestors should've stormed the capital then? I wonder how that would've gone...

hmm there are still a few users using the sigs I made

From a political point of view I think you may as well always go for gold. Plus, take it out on the politicians, not your fellow humans and their livelihoods.

But, yeah, it could have turned pretty nasty if they'd tried. But who knows, if they really are a 'resistance' then there's not much more resistancy you can get than invading the dark heart of government.

yeah same one's acab.

Weird though that so many of these maga clowns were clubbing them with "blue lives matter" flags and screaming to kill them with their own guns.

If there is any chance today too lift the value of the 💵 dollar what properties do you think that would be?

The right wing are always pro-cop until they aren't lol

The weirdest takeaway from the whole thing is ****ing Alex Jones being an arbiter of peace and getting as many people as he could away from the violence, preaching nonviolent resistance. I guess I'm not actually that surprised, but it struck me how tame he was being compared to his usual fire and brimstone

The question of law enforcement is one of life's biggest complications for me tbh. I don't know what to do with it or how to figure it out. It's currently in the "reasons for absolute philosophical pessimism" pile.

Do you recall a favorite pastime?
