Or one of my favorite movies is Malena

An Italian film about a women who is to beautiful for her own good, so the neighbors start talking about her and she is cast out as soon as her husband dies. The city folk begin to speculate that she has become a prostitute and shun her. No spoilers.

Dario Argento is best known for his 3 mothers films, which are his greatest works: 1. Suspiria 2. Inferno. 3 Mother of tears.

Really enjoyed everything I've seen by Argento: Suspiria, Phenomena, Tenebre, Deep Red, The Bird With the Crystal Plumage. Cat O' Nine Tails is my next watch I think.

Watch Opera. It has a really good slasher scene that you want to watch but at the same time what to look away. Lol

His last film on the 3 mothers wasn't as good because he said himself that it took him so long to think of it. It was made fairly recent in 2007 and has been widely criticized because of the flaws it has. His daughter plays the lead.

Opera's definitely one of my next Argento picks, that's also handily on Amazon Prime. I know there's meant to be a scene involving eyes that is pretty grim. Fulci loves doing stuff to eyes too, there's an eye gouge in Zombie Flesh Eaters which is weirdly realistic and super unpleasant (AKA awesome)

And yeah from what I hear later Argento films just don't live up to the classic '70s and '80s stuff. I'll try to watch a bunch of them still tho, so I have a better understanding of his work as a whole

No matter how talented Dario is, his daughter Asia seems someone who has unusual morals.

All I know is that she was involved in early allegations against Harvey Weinstein and general MeToo stuff

She only dates young boys so I've heard. 😉
