Springfield has a lot of episodes of snow, so it’s obviously a northern state. Groening grew up in Oregon and admits he based the show on his childhood so there. The Simpsons is set in Oregon.

It’s supposed to be a nuclear family. So the ❄️ winter is more fall out than hidden. So I think that the 11th like 911 was known years ago. Like the 11th hour that is depicted in war.
