Youtube is everywhere now. It's just people now do the same shit on facebook, twitter, instagram, tiktok and other crap because they're not very good at making actual content.

In fact, I think people play with their phones in the cinema simply because they're bored of the films they're watching within like 4 minutes.

That's true. I use YouTube to watch documentaries or weird stupid shit you wouldn't find anywhere else.
