I was playing in a cash game, you buy in for $10 and basically cash out when you want to.

I usually make first or second when I play with my friends, so I either win a little/make my money back or win big.

Ah. Better rules, then. We play £5 in (so basically $10 I guess) and winner takes all.

Well we mostly play tournies, was my first cash game last night, people just kept rebuying. Why I went home with so much $.
