Watching this show called The Dog House where ppl go to adopt a rescue dog
Rly great show full of the best doggos
And it also shows the occasional person having to give up their dog, usually a legit reason like it’s an elderly person who can’t take care of them fully anymore or moved into care home etc
This guy comes in with his little westie he’s had for 9 YEARS and gives him up because a 2 yr old FOSTER child grabbed the dogs tail and the dog reacted and scratched him
And he just walked out without any emotion or even a glance back

I’m going with the latter. To give up a dog of 9 years for a temporary foster kid..
He could have told the foster agency they can’t have younger kids etc
These are the kind of ppl that think of the dog as a “just a pet” not as family
