This is going back to the late 90s or early 20s, likely the latter, but there was this website where people would post mullet sighting and the host would do a quick description and rank the mullet with a "mulletude" score.

I saw some old pictures yesterday when I had longish hair it was like that kinda emo style that everyone had in 2008. I swear everyone just started growing their hair out 2006-2009, like in Harry potter and the goblet of fire, they all got longish hair in that one

Now that you say that, I do remember having long hair from 07 to 09. I mean, lots of people did.

It comes and goes, I grew my hair out down to my waist starting in 1991-1992, end of high school for me. Cut it all off in 1995.

Long hair was back with the middle to high school boys starting around 2019, it has fizzled out mostly.
